I'm not usually one for new years resolutions. I mean, self-reflection and improvement should happen continually, not once a year, right? But I can't deny that there's a bit of a buzz in the air that happens on this rather arbitrary marker and I can get caught up in it.
So, hence, the new template and layout. The old one was kinda iffy with the comments section and the blog roll was a bit hard to get to. And there are some really good blogs out there. Just recently, I've added Between Us Guys, Gay and Invisible, Close Encounters, AltAdam, and The Dude Who's a Dude to my list. The latter two are so fluid and open with their sexuality that it's pretty inspiring. I'm hoping the guy from Between Us Guys keeps it up. He has a good point of view that I haven't really come across yet. Perhaps it's more because I don't readily search it out. Instead, I'm kinda lazy and just find guys that comment and follow me and then start reading their blogs.
So I'm a relativist. At least that's what my coworker said once to me. I have strong opinions for myself but don't really advocate one side or another because my answer is usually, "It depends." Instead of black or white, I take comfort and the boundlessly varying shades of grey. But I enjoy getting people's take on things. And I think I'm being intentionally vague because I've written and re-written a certain introspective post over and over because I can't seem to strike that balance between conveying my thoughts and advocating a position.
Oh, and not to just point to the shiny and new, there are a ton of great blogs that have been around for awhile and are still going strong. Confessions of a Promiscuous Top always makes me smile. The glass is half full and there's always a sense of playful frivolity there with a dash of the personal at times that's achingly beautiful. Glorious prose from Rob at A Breeder's Journal. The astonishingly unrelenting drive of Felching Pisser's From My Side of the Sling. Insanely happy that Explorer Jack is closing his two year gap between then and now. And also a few blogs that are at a crossroads. I hope that the Wonderland Burlesque and The Invisibleman keep going but I'm not going to make silly demands but just wanna mention them in an offering of support and warm wishes. And where the hell is Weston Liggit exactly? Still trying to figure that one out!
And I have to say that I'm increasingly aware of the other Asian sex bloggers out there. It's about goddamn time! Now if we can get more Asian guys out there in the media. I mean, I'm getting tired of citing John Cho from the Harold and Kumar movies as my closest celebrity lookalike.
Hm. Totally random but hey. Very belated Happy New Years folks!
Cheers!

Happy New Year BC! Love the new format/look. Grey is a refreshing change from all the black websites, my own included. I always enjoy your writing. Love reading about fucking from a tops point of view.
Bah! And how could I forget you in my list of little shout outs, my little sex kitten? Smack your ass for me. I know it's my bad but still. Smack it!
thanks for the shout out, and likewise love the new look! As to my location, best it remain obscured. "Homos" here are, on occasion, rounded up or entrapped and then beaten (or lashed) before being deported. Which means each and every hook-up could end, ummm, disastrously...
hey hey hey. what am i? chopped liver??? : )
Ha! Not at all! How could I forget one of the most unflinchingly honest bloggers out there. Now if I can only get into your shorts and not just your mind...
But danger is your middle name! No, honestly wasn't expecting disclosure just was wondering if I'm the only one that had that curiosity. It's nice hearing sex stories from a different cultural angle.
HNY to you too :)
